Martinique on the Gulf is located off of Fort Morgan Rd in the Fort Morgan section of Gulf Shores AL, about 10.5 miles west of Route 59. Martinique is a small gated community with French-Caribbean style homes adjacent to the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge and the Gulf Coast.
A beautiful setting that promotes a laid-back atmosphere, the community was established in an area of Gulf Shores that is very quiet and calming. Very different from the hustle and bustle of the beach road along the Gulf, Martinique is the place if you like to travel a few miles before seeing a store or stoplight. Amenities for the neighborhood include a fitness center, 2 swimming pools, enjoying a peaceful walk down the boardwalk to the beach, walking the trails through the Wildlife Refuge, sitting in the spa or sauna, or playing tennis.

This quaint and quiet subdivision is made up of single family homes as well as condos. The two 3-story condo buildings sit along the Gulf's edge while the villas and homes make up the area in the front of the neighborhood. The entire neighborhood is nicely entwined by a network of bridges, walkways, and boardwalks connecting each residence to the many fine amenities as well as the beach.
With all of the choices that future home buyers have in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, this neighborhood is unique and stands out among the rest. I've had quite a few different clients tell me when having our initial consultation, "we only want to purchase in Martinique". The typical home for sale in Martinique ranges from 1800-3000 square feet and was built in 2000 or earlier. There are also some condo options in Martinique that are around 1800 square feet.
