Sugar Sand Beaches
The sugar white beaches of Orange Beach are a whole new level of gorgeous, and the sand itself is soft to the feet. The beaches are also wide, which give you a ton of space so you never feel like you're sitting on top of everyone. I'm originally from another beach town on the East Coast, and there is just no comparison between the two. Also, if you're fortunate enough the own a condo or home on the beach, you actually own a portion of the beach down to the mean high tide line.
Price
The Orange Beach real estate market is vibrant and growing with properties for everyone in all price ranges. Home prices can start around $100,000 and go into the millions, of course; however, the average buyer has options. For instance, at last check, there were 65 condos that have a direct southern view of the Gulf between $200,000 and $400,000.

Property Taxes
You'll find that not only are real estate prices at least comparable to other parts of the country (if not better for coastal towns) but also property taxes in Orange Beach are some of the lowest in the country. They are about a third of the national average.
Investment
Our little corner of the world has consistently become more and more popular over the years for real estate investing. Buyers from all walks of life are not only looking to purchase in Orange Beach for full-time residence or a second home, they are seeing the great potential of owning an investment property to capitalize on the massive tourism business that comes our way each year. It's not unusual for properties to earn $15,000 to even up to $100,000 per year in rental income, depending on the condition, number of bedrooms, view, and square footage.
Inventory
Orange Beach has an inventory supply of approximately 5.6 months (based on the last 6 months of sales), which means it would take that long to sell off all of the properties that are currently on the market. This, of course, does not take into consideration any new properties that come on the market. I never tell a buyer that I will find them the "perfect house" but, with the amount of inventory that is currently available, I'm sure they will find plenty of options to choose from.
Fishing, Boating, and Water Sports
If you love the water, you came to the right place. The Alabama coast is home to one of the largest recreational charter boat fleets on the Gulf, along with having one of the largest artificial reef programs in the world. You can also find the longest (or, argumentatively, the second longest) fishing pier next door in Gulf Shores. Orange Beach has it all from a plethora of marinas, kayaking, parasailing, and jet skiing -- there will always be something to do on the water.
Lots of Things to Do
You will never be bored unless you want to be. For the kids, we have theme parks with go-kart rides, mini-golf, water slides, and a roller coaster. There's even a zoo in Gulf Shores. For the adventurer or nature lover, you can take a ride on the zipline or bike through Backcountry Trail. If golf is your thing, visit one of our nearby championship courses. There's so much to list here, so I created a page with everything to do that's fun in the Orange Beach area.
